SCHOLASTIC ASPECTS

The school is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) and students write the board’s class X ICSE exam and class XII ISC exam. In tune with the National Policy on Education 1986/ 92 , school – based evaluation covers both the scholastic and non-scholastic aspects of the pupils growth. The nature of scholastic evaluation is based on Regular Assessments , Bi – monthly assignments, Tests and Terminal Exams. The school takes pride in its academic success which according to the school is achieved by its interactive teaching methodology.

NON – SCHOLASTIC ASPECTS

S.U.P.W ( SOCIALLY USEFUL AND PRODUCTIVE WORK) is an integral part of our school curriculum. This subject is compulsory for all candidates inorder to get the Pass Certificate of the ICSE and ISC examinations. It is divided into two sections –
i) ART AND CRAFT – This includes drawing , painting, dancing , singing , hardwork etc
ii) COMMUNITY SERVICE Children are expected to take care of their respective classrooms. The traditional Once – a – Term cleaning and washing of the school is done wherein children and teachers work together. This encourages a unique student – teacher rapport.

SPORTS AND GAMES

The school lays equal importance on extracurricular and sports activities and has exhibited commendable performances at various zonal and state and national level championships.To inculcate a healthy competitive atmosphere and ambience, the school is divided into 4
Houses : GANGA ( RED) , GODAVARI (GREEN) , KAVERI (YELLOW) and KRISHNA (BLUE).
Smart shorts and T– shirts of various houses add colour and sparkle to the Sports and GamesDepartment. Class VII upwards have Track suit and T- shirt.
Apart from the regular games and PT periods, coaching for group games like Basketball,Volleyball, Football and Badminton / Table Tennis are scheduled on a regular basis.Physical fitness programmes like Yoga , Karate & Aerobics form a part of the curriculum from class VI upwards.
