The Hari Sri Vidya Nidhi Trust was officially registered as a Society under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific, and Charitable Societies Registration Act on July 27, 1983. The foundation of this esteemed institution was laid with Hari Sri Nursery and Primary School, established by Mrs. Nalini Chandran on September 1, 1978. The school’s journey began with the auspicious lighting of the sacred lamp, performed by Smt. Kannambra Ammukutty Nethiar, the maternal grandmother of the Founder, Mrs. Nalini Chandran.

The primary mission of Hari Sri Vidya Nidhi has always been to provide high-quality education while fostering a strong sense of culture and values. What sets our school apart is the harmonious integration of academics and co-curricular activities, ensuring a well-rounded development of our students. The institution initially grew as an extension of Ashtami Tharavad and expanded with Mrs. Nalini Chandran’s visionary leadership. Recognizing the importance of parental involvement, she took the initiative to empower parents by including them in the Trust of Hari Sri Primary School. This led to the formation of the First Executive Committee, with Judge Balakrishnan Iyer insisting that Mrs. Nalini Chandran remain the sole life member of the Hari Sri Vidya Nidhi Trust.

As the school expanded, the middle school operated from various rented spaces, including Palliyil Lane, the old Surakshita School, and the premises next to Printwell. Over time, Hari Sri Nursery evolved into what is now known as Hari Sri Vidya Nidhi School, a premier institution dedicated to academic excellence and holistic development.

The school functions under the academic leadership and supervision of the Principal, Administrator, and four Section Heads, supported by a highly qualified and experienced faculty. The Principal and Administrator report to the Executive Director, who serves as the vital link between the school and the Managing Committee. However, all policy and financial decisions are overseen by the Executive Committee of the Society, elected by the General Body of the Hari Sri Vidya Nidhi Trust.
