Self-Discipline

There is a tenet in English, "An indisciplined army cannot win a war". This is applicable in life also. Discipline should be a part and parcel of life. If a person is disciplined, he will definitely be successful in his personal and professional life.

The word 'discipline 'originates from the Latin word 'disciplinam' which means instructions and training. It is to traceand apply a system of moral and mental training with high standards. Being disciplined is a personal choice. It gives us better options. An indisciplined player or Badminton player or a gymnast cannot win their matches. The single word Discipline can be defined as a combination of words denoting qualities like: -

  • Integrity  Learnedness
  • Systematic Invariable
  • Conscientious Nimble
  • Invincible Erudite

A disciplined child should have the above qualities. Strive to be SELF DISCIPLINED - and hence a paragon to others. So, please weed out your aberrations, if any, and cultivate good habits to be a disciplined student, a winner and forerunner in life.
