THE INDIAN SCHOOL CERTIFICATE

The Hari Sri Vidya Nidhi School is affiliated to the prestigious Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi (CISCE).

The Council conducts two Board Examinations:

  1. The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (I.C.S.E) at the end
    of Class 10.
  2. The Indian School Certificate (|.S.C) at the end of Class 12
  3. The Pass Certificate awarded by the Council is recognized by all Indian Universities including reputed Engineering and Medical Institutions. This certificate is also accepted abroad.

    SUBJECT: ICSE LEVEL (CLASS 9 AND 10)

    All candidates for the Board Examination must appear for sixsubjects.

    Group – I :

    1. English – 2 papers (Language & Literature)
    2. Second Language – 1 paper (Language & Literature)
    3. Social Studies (History, Civics & Geography) – 2 papers
    4. Mathematics – 1 paper
    5. Group – II : Science

    6. Physics
    7. Chemistry
    8. Biology

    Group – III :

    We have grouped the Optional Subjects according to the suitability to the main subjects.

    1. Computer science
    2. Art
    3. Home Science
    4. Economic Application
    5. Physical Education

    SUBJECTS : ISC LEVEL (CLASS 11 & 12)

    (Limited Seats)

    All candidates for the Board Exam must appear for

    Five subjects.

    Common to all: ENGLISH LANGUAGE & LITERATURE

    GROUP – A (SCIENCE)

    1. Physics
    2. Chemistry

    GROUP – B (COMMERCE)

    1. Accountancy
    2. Commerce

    GROUP – C (HUMANITIES)

    1. History
    2. Political Science

    OPTIONAL SUBJECT :One / Two of the following subjects as per requirement:

    1. Biology
    2. Maths
    3. Computer Science
    4. Economics
    5. Art
    6. Performing Arts
    7. Psychology
    8. Malayalam
    9. Sociology

    In case there are not enough takers for a particular subject, the same will not be offered.

    (Admission to ISC Level will be based on the Board Examination marks and fluency in Spoken English)

    Internal assessmentof general behaviourwill be given weightage.
